Garden Blue Tit.

Blue Tit .................Parus caeruleus
Tested out the camera in the garden trying to emulate the settings I had before it broke down.
The wooded backdrop is always dark so fast speeds are generally out.
I am reasonably happy with the result considering the conditions..but I expect better in the future.

Nikon Returns.

Well the good news is ...I have got the camera back. The bad news is the weather is awful so I will leave it till tomorrow to put it through it paces.

Woodland Flock

The garden had an influx of avian visitors around 13-00 hours.
Angie said she counted eight Blue Tits ( a record for the small garden) Great Tits, Long-tailed Tits and Greenfinches.

One of the easiest ways to differentiate between the GBBG and the LBBG is the smaller LBBG has yellow legs unlike the pink of the larger gull.

Camera Update

The camera is being sent away and I have been informed I can expect at least a four week wait before it is returned. What actually happened...I do not know, I am no wiser than yesterday really.

Broken Camera

I fear the worse with my Nikon D300. The gremlins have struck and it will not come on at all. My SDHC card has blown and it is looking bad for the electronics of the camera. As soon as I know anything I will post on the blog...until then ..fingers crossed.
