Two More.

Two more life ticks at Walmsley this evening ...Spotted Redshank and Wood Sandpiper brings the total now up to one hundred and fifty.

  1. That's a very respectable total.
    Is that all this year?

  2. Great Stuff Trevor
I have not had a Wood Sand this year, normaly get them at Stithians but the water levels just to high for waders.

  3. Hi. No...the majority of the total would be in the last eighteen months when I started to take it more seriously. A few sightings drift back a year or so ..Lapwing and Red Grouse Yorkshire Dales a few more around Norfolk and Dorset but nothing too serious at that stage. The learning curve started the back end of last year when I bought Angie a scope for Christmas.
I have had my camera since the beginning of April (got it back today) and Angie had her Canon camera six weeks or so before mine.

  4. Hi Monty

The waders seem out in force at the moment...I have had three Sandpiper life ticks in the last few days plus the Spotted Redshank..hope I am on a roll.
