Pheasant........Phasianus colchicus

I had a hard job getting the whole Pheasant in the frame ..shooting at short range from the confines of the car.

  1. Your car seems to be turning into a great hide, Trevor...so that's what I need in my back garden to get some decent shots...but how to get it through the side gate?...!!! :)

To be serious though another lovely photo.

  2. Hi Trevor
I think you carry these birds around in the boot of the car and let them out when you want to take some photo's Likewise great shot. Title has me confused did you mean Great Spotted Pheasant?

  4. I used to have a Ring-necked pheasant that came to my feeders each morning at first light. The feeders were a short distance from the bedroom window and what a rackett that bird made! They sure are lovely, though, especially with a little chutney.

  6. Hello Jan.
    Thanks.
I do feel that the birds except the closeness of the car and that obviously provides an ideal hide.
