Two for the Garden.

O how things do change. I have been wondering for a long while what has happened to some of our more colourful species...well truth is... I am still wondering although a couple of the more mundane plumed deserters have returned to the fold; Collared Dove and Wren.
This with the welcome news that Angie saw the Goldcrest and Firecrest this morning...my sighting of the Blackcap yesterday and the return of the above two has made me a lot happier that all our garden efforts are not in vain.

  1. I still find it incredible that two of your regular garden visitors are the Goldcrest and Firecrest...oh the joys of living in beautiful Cornwall!

The Marsh Tit and LTT on the previous posts are really lovely photos Trevor :)

  3. Hi Jan.
Yes is does have advantages. O we are indeed lucky to have the two small crests as residents.
Now I want the Bullfinches, Greenfinches, Goldfinches and the Siskin to visit more regularly. Then a wish for a Nuthatch.

  4. Hi Monts.
You may well be right. Today I walked around a site or two and saw practically nothing. Yes it was a strange day.
Still Spring cannot be far away now.
