Hello Stuart I agree it shows the habitat and I have watched them swim on the water and dive underneath. But they do seem a very wary bird so a little more fieldcraft is called for before I get the good shot.
I love these little river birds. A few days ago i saw a Kingfisher in a sewer line (It used to be a stream ) near my house. Too bad people don´t value these little streams so filled with life.
It is a beauty Trevor.
ReplyDeleteThe reticent Dipper 'pon riparian perch. Still an attractive composition - shows the habits/habitat nicely.
ReplyDeleteNice one Trevor.
ReplyDeleteJohn.
Another one I have never seen and not likely to here! A lovely bird :)
ReplyDeleteHi Bob.
ReplyDeleteI cannot get up close enough to do them justice...but I am working on it.

ReplyDeleteMaybe digiscoping is the answer to this one.
Hi Jan.
ReplyDeleteYes I have noticed it does seem to be absent in the Midlands and the eastern parts of the country south of Grimsby.
I love these little river birds.
