Bullfinch



Bullfinch...Pyrrhula pyrrhula


I saw the male Bullfinch on one of the garden feeders this morning. I rushed upstairs and photographed him from the bathroom window (grab shot).

Although Angie has seen and heard them around the garden area it was the first one we have seen on our feeder this year.

    What a beauty he is! I have only ever seen one briefly in my garden and that must have been over two years ago. When I was little our garden was full of them, much to the detriment of mum and dad's fruit trees ;)
