  7. Yes Adrian I was well pleased with the photograph. It was a good 20-30 yards away when I first saw it and I managed Ray Mears style to get within 2 yards of it. I was clicking half a dozen record shots every few yards (most just that..record shots)and I ended up with 80 shots.
    Now generally they are off like a shot..so what happened? I do not know.

    Half the battle with the Dipper John as you are well aware of...is knowing where it is likely to be.
    Once you have found one you can go back and easily locate it another day.
