  1. Excellent shots of these beauties Trevor. They really brighten a garden on a dull winters day.

  2. Oh goodness, I'm playing catch up Trevor! The Goldfinches are lovely and probably my most loyal garden visitor.

I enjoyed the photos on the previous posts, LTTs are such pretty little birds, hopefully I will see some in my garden again soon. It was really interesting to read about the birds you often see in your garden, how wonderful to have Fire and Goldcrests visit, I would be thrilled to see either of those!

  3. Hi Keith.
Yes they do indeed. This winter they have been very spasmodic at the feeders and the Greenfinches seem to have disappeared altogether. How are the Greenies doing up your neck of the woods?

  4. Hi Bhavesh.
    Thanks.
I have noticed the odd bird or two appearing on your blog. Are you being converted ?

  5. Hello Jan.
The Goldfinches have never visited us in great numbers...four or five being the maximum. Starlings, Sparrows, Blackbirds and Chaffinches must be up in double figures.
We are keeping a weather eye out for the *dinky jobs* after having a fleeting glimpse a few days ago. Hopefully the Blackcaps will visit soon with the return of Bullfinches and Song Thrush. If we are lucky we may also get the G.S.Woodpecker back again.
It really is a thrill to see a new bird in your garden and my latest wish would be to see a Nuthatch at the feeders.

  6. Not had any Greenfinches yet at the feeders; maybe when it turns a bit colder. The Goldies, however, have entertained all year.
