I cannot say as we have a dozen or so residents and it is just a flight path to the suet pellets we put out. I do not know about them pairing up...but I have noticed three Robins together and a House Sparrow taking twigs up to build a nest. I think with the global warming things are starting to change.
Trevor, Have noticed they are in pairs, is it normal this time of the year? Posted one just now ., yours puts mine to shame. Just right this shot.
