  1. A lovely shot and a bird which is underrated by many simply by being so familiar I think. It used to be the most common bird in our garden but now is only seen occasionally and I for one appreciate it much more than I used to.

    We do have a small flock that visit us daily at the garden feeders. The photograph is certainly one of my personal favourites..in fact most of my better images are of the common birds.

    A whole flock of them were feeding and took no notice of me...it was not fieldcraft..we were on the pavement and they were in the bushes alongside.
